St Ives is a stunningly beautiful town nestled amidst the beaches and wild headlands of West Cornwall.  The town grew around the harbour and developed into a maze of narrow, winding streets and alleyways.  The sea seems to surround the town and there are five beaches within a few minutes stroll.  Two of these, Porthmeor and Porthminster, are among the five Cornish beaches to been awarded Blue Flags.

Porthmeor faces the Atlantic and is the more rugged of the two and is favoured by the surfing community.  The main beaches are supervised by lifeguards.

The town has many fine restaurants snuggled in the narrow streets and along the harbour front.  St Ives is famous for its artistic links and The Tate gallery and the Barbara Hepworth Museum are “must see” attractions.  There are many galleries and working studios throughout the town and regular exhibitions display the work of contemporary artists.

Guests that wish to venture further afield can explore everything West Cornwall has to offer including Land’s End, the Minack Theatre, the various National Trust gardens and St Michael’s Mount. The Eden Project is only 45 minutes away.
